The Calcasieu Parish 4-H “Green T.E.E.N.S” Environmental Club needs your help!
WHAT: A Tree Planting
WHEN: Thursday, March 27
2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
WHERE: Nibblet’s Bluff Park, 3409 Nibblet’s Bluff Rd. Vinton, La.
Please plan to meet at the LSU AgCenter in Lake Charles at 1:00 p.m.
7101 Gulf Hwy. We are located just south of Burton Coliseum.
We will give a brief training, divide into teams and then caravan over to the park.
Nibblet’s Bluff Park lost more than 700 trees due to Hurricane Rita. We feel that the least that we can do is to do our part in helping to restore the park back to what it was before the storm.
Items that you will need to bring: gloves, shovels, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. We will also need a few wheelbarrows.
WE WILL PROVIDE WATER AND SNACKS!
