Job Responsibilities:

Develop and lead an extension, research and teaching program in precision agriculture and related areas. Be innovative in extension and research approaches, and willing to participate in an interdisciplinary extension and research environment to provide expertise in precision agriculture. Develop and make available appropriate products (including but not limited to extension and research publications, publications in scholarly and applied journals, presentations, etc.) for clientele groups in media that is most beneficial. Teaching duties include graduate and undergraduate courses in precision agriculture. Develop graduate and undergraduate courses, direct graduate students, and provide expertise in their area of advanced study. Communicate with stakeholders, including client-based training and continuing education workshops, demonstrations, and field days to provide technology transfer to the agricultural industry, provide assistance in education programs in precision agriculture and GIS, and participate in and lead interdisciplinary precision agriculture extension and research programs within the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center. Obtain grant funds to help support research and extension programs. Other duties as assigned or undertaken for individual, departmental, or institutional enhancement, including (but not limited to) service on committees, participation in professional society activities, and professional development opportunities.
